Pete Hodson

Pete founded Under the Reading Tree after being inspired from a trip to Uganda.  He was then motivated to bring together a group of like-minded people who share his vision for bringing libraries and literacy to communities in need. His love for traveling and reading made libraries an easy passion to follow. Pete has had the opportunity to explore countries in Africa and beyond, and thrives on the challenges that new cultures bring.

After completing his Bachelor degree from the University of British Columbia, Pete became an employee of the City of Vancouver. When he is not at work, he can be found at home building anything and everything he can out of wood. Pete is excellent at starting projects around the house and excellent at almost finishing them.
